While I like to think that all of my parties are a hit, the real test is how the guests feel the party was. I asked several of the kids at the party if they had fun and they all said yes! There was threat of weather (where is summer Utah?!) that would not be ideal for watching the movie outdoors which came true for our house. In the end it all worked out.
I kept the food easy in case we had to hurry and clean up to inside, I also was working in an office all week and didn’t have as much time as I would have liked to get the party perfect. It is a good thing that it was a party for my kids and they didn’t see it as imperfect.
Because of the threat of wind and rain I kept the decor simple. We received the cutest popcorn machine from my sister-in-law for Christmas and I was so excited to use it. It was the perfect prop for the backyard movie!
When I bought the Heidi Swap Lightbox 3 years ago I didn’t know how much I would love decorating with it. I have used it for ALL of the parties I throw. I also have the Mini-Lightbox and it is perfect too.
Straws are always super fun to me. And I love that paper straws with the fun designs are so popular! I have a little stash that I pulled these from. I find them at the party supply store that is close to my house.
