Oliver was born in April of 2018. He’s nearly 17 months old. I am not back to my pre-pregnancy weight at all. I breastfeed my babies for the first year, so I don’t limit my foods (I could control what I eat way better) and those post-pregnancy cravings are REAL!
Now that I have Oliver weaned, now that I feel more comfortable in my role as a mother of 4, now that I feel more in control of my emotions (hormones) I feel like I am in a spot to finally get myself back.
What am I doing?
- Working out: I am going to the gym at least 5 mornings a week and getting on the elliptical for half an hour. I am going to Dirtylicious Dance classes at my local gym.
- Eating: I am working on what I put in my body. This is such a work in progress for me. I have been emotionally eating since I found out I was pregnant with Oliver 2 years ago.
- Positive Thoughts: I have been so mean to my body. I haven’t thought kindly of it. I have talked awful about my looks. THIS will not help my brain and heart love myself. I have to rewire my brain to think happy and good thoughts of myself.
My ultimate goal is to be healthy. Losing weight is a great bonus, losing inches will make me feel more comfortable in my clothes, and in the end I will feel confidence. But really, being healthy as a woman, a mother and human is what is important to me.
Join me on my journey. I will be posting updates and before and after photos as I update. If you would like to be updated when these posts go up fill your email in down below:
