My FIRST Speaking Gig

When I write these posts I try to be 2 weeks ahead so I can make changes and edit with as much time as possible. If the post has to do with a specific event, then it has to wait. That being said I am writing this post on a high from the weekend retreat I came home from yesterday.

Way back in December my friend Veronica asked if I could speak on goal setting and I was so humbled! Me? A speaker???

I started to come up with what I wanted it to look like. I was waking up at 2am with ideas that I had to get up and write down before I could go back to sleep. Finally the weekend arrived for the retreat!!

The drive up was incredible. I had 5 amazing women in my car and had so much fun getting to know them. We got there and there was a lot of great conversation and laughing. Saturday morning we started with breakfast, a little bit of a presentation by Veronica. Then it was my turn. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. I didn’t know all of these women, I had just met them. I got up and gave my story, talked about the different methods I had for setting goals, content planning and avoiding overwhelm. Then I set them loose to do the workbook I had created and get things done.

I know that I was in the right place at the right time. I feel so much love for each woman there and for their success. I cannot wait to see what goals they make and achieve this year!

I loved the setting (hated the driveway) and am so looking forward to more working relationships in the future!
